I was super excited to photograph sweet Samantha's 1st Birthday portraits. With cake smash sessions, the best photos are the ones that are shot last as they are full on into the cake by that point. Here is a fave from Samantha's joyful overindulgent moment. 

There are so many fun portraits to capture at this age as every second she gives a different expression. Here's a fun series of "Girl With Cake."

Outfit change! I switched up the perspective, too, just to add more variety to the series.

This is one happy one year old!

I did some traditional portraits as well.

I am a big fan of incorporating family shots into Cake Smash sessions. Here's a sweet photo of Samantha and her big brother.

I also captured some brother portraits. I got the smiley ones after I asked him do some silly faces.

Last but certainly not least, here are some shots of the whole family. It is so important to capture this grouping while I am already doing the session. It's everyone's hardest shot to get, right? (My own family included!)
